Regional Learning & Development Officer

With new people continuously joining our growing company, you will play a crucial role in their training journey. Working directly for the Regional Talent Manager (RTM) and alongside the Regional Talent Consultant (RTC) and Regional Talent Administrator (RTA), you will ensure all regional colleagues receive timely and high quality training and development throughout their employment journey.

You will build open, effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both in region and across the national Talent network. This role is designed to focus on helping line managers achieve great compliance with all aspects of their employee’s training, including induction, basic and development training deadlines.

What you'll do

  • Monitor the progress of all aspects of regional induction and basic training, liaising with colleagues and line managers to ensure completion in line with national deadlines
  • Support line managers and colleagues to rectify problems or issues with training in a timely and professional manner
  • Analyse Talent KPIs, identify trends and proactively liaise with key stakeholders to improve regional results
  • Identify gaps in training processes and support with implementing agreed changes
  • Support with the onboarding process, including presenting information to new starters at Welcome Events
  • Conduct store/department visits, together with or on behalf of the RTM to provide support, obtain feedback and identify opportunities for improvement in our colleague training experience
  • Support the Regional Talent Manager in daily business and projects including Talent Cycle and Emerging Talent Programmes

What you'll need

  • Enthusiasm for facilitating high quality training and development to all colleagues
  • Flexible communication skills with the ability to influence a range of regional colleagues
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with a keen eye for detail
  • The confidence and skill to present pre-defined material to a group of colleagues
  • A strong multi-tasker with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
